Tidio Pricing: Plans, Lyro AI Costs and What a Real Store Pays

Tidio is free to start, then $29 or $59 a month on monthly billing, with Lyro AI billed separately from $39 for 50 AI conversations. Here is how the conversation meters work and what a real team pays.

Tidio is free to start, then $29 a month (Starter) or from $59 a month (Growth) on monthly billing, or $24.17 and $49.17 a month if you pay annually. Plus starts at $300 a month plus usage and Premium is quote-only. Lyro, Tidio's AI agent, is billed on top: $39 a month for 50 AI conversations on monthly billing, rising to $700 a month for 1,000. Prices verified on tidio.com/pricing on November 4, 2026.

Tidio does not charge per seat on its self-serve plans. It charges by volume, on three separate meters: human conversations, AI conversations and Flows visitors. That makes the sticker price small and the real bill hard to predict.

What each plan includes#

Free: $0

50 billable conversations a month, 50 Lyro conversations and 100 Flows visitors as a one-time allowance (not monthly), up to 10 seats. Enough to install the widget and see whether visitors actually chat.

Starter: $29 a month

100 billable conversations, live chat and ticketing, a live visitors list, operating hours, basic analytics and the live chat channels. It still only has the one-off 50 Lyro conversations.

Growth: from $59 a month

Everything in Starter plus advanced analytics, user permissions, automatic chat assignment, automatic replies, live typing preview, viewed pages history and macros. Growth is the plan whose price moves with volume. On monthly billing, Tidio's calculator shows:

Billable conversations a monthGrowth price (monthly billing)
250$59
1,000$179
2,000$349
More than 2,000Contact sales

Plus: from $300 a month plus usage

Everything in Growth plus premium support, a dedicated success manager, discounted usage rates, departments, multiple projects, custom branding, ticketing automations, OpenAPI, custom seat counts and wire transfer payment. Tidio says you "pay separately for AI and human conversations at lower rates as you scale," but does not publish those rates.

Premium: contact sales

Everything in Plus, from 3,000 Lyro conversations, a guaranteed 50% Lyro resolution rate, pay-per-resolution billing, a mobile SDK, SSO and Lyro as a managed service. This is the only Tidio plan that bills AI by resolution.

How Tidio's Lyro AI pricing works#

Lyro is sold as an add-on (or stand-alone, if you want to plug it into another help desk). The price depends only on how many Lyro conversations you buy each month:

Lyro AI conversations a monthMonthly billingAnnual billingCost per conversation (monthly)
50$39$32.50$0.78
200$140$116.67$0.70
1,000$700$583.33$0.70
More than 1,000Contact salesContact sales

The counting rules, from Tidio's pricing FAQ:

  • A Lyro conversation counts once Lyro sends at least one reply in it. Several replies, or the customer coming back later, still count as one.
  • Every account starts with 50 Lyro conversations. The limit only refreshes each month if you pay for the Lyro AI Agent add-on or are on Plus. It refreshes 30 days after payment.
  • Lyro replies are not agent replies, so a conversation Lyro handles alone does not use a billable conversation.

The detail that matters: you pay for every conversation Lyro touches, not every conversation Lyro solves. If Lyro answers, the customer is not satisfied and asks for a human, you have used one Lyro conversation. Once your agent replies, by Tidio's own definition that conversation also meets the test for a billable conversation. So an escalated chat can draw down both meters.

Tidio says its customers average a 75% resolution rate with Lyro. Whatever your real rate is, the cost per resolved conversation is the Lyro price divided by that rate. At $0.70 per conversation and a 50% resolution rate, you are paying $1.40 per resolution.

Other add-ons#

  • Flows (automation and proactive messages): from $24.17 a month on annual billing for 2,000 visitors reached, scaling up to 100,000 visitors before you need sales.
  • No Tidio branding on Growth: $16.67 a month on annual billing. Included in Plus and Premium, not available on Free or Starter.

What a real team pays#

A small store with 3 agents, 1,000 human conversations a month and 200 Lyro AI conversations, paying monthly:

Line itemMonthly cost
Growth, 1,000 billable conversations$179
Lyro, 200 AI conversations$140
Total$319 a month, $3,828 a year

Three things move that number:

  1. Volume, not headcount. Adding a fourth or tenth agent costs nothing on self-serve plans. A busy sales week costs a lot: jumping from 1,000 to 2,000 billable conversations takes Growth from $179 to $349.
  2. AI success. The more conversations you let Lyro open, the more you pay, whether or not it solves them.
  3. The 10-seat ceiling and the 2,000-conversation ceiling. Past either, you are on Plus: $300 a month before usage, at rates you only see in a quote.

Tidio vs SupportWire on price#

SupportWire uses one plan: $19 per seat per month with everything included. The first 50 AI resolutions each month are included, then each one is $0.49. Drafting and Copilot are free and there are no caps on AI conversations. Full details on the pricing page.

SupportWire pricing: $0.49 per resolution with the first 50 each month included, plus $19 per seat per month, with unlimited free lite seats

Same 3-agent store, assuming Lyro and Kal both open 200 conversations and the AI fully resolves all 200 (the most SupportWire could charge):

Tidio Growth + Lyro (monthly)SupportWire
Seats / human conversations$179 (1,000 conversations)3 × $19 = $57 (no conversation limit)
AI$140 (200 conversations)150 × $0.49 = $73.50 (first 50 included)
Monthly total$319$130.50

If the AI resolves only half of those 200, SupportWire's AI line drops to $24.50 (100 resolutions, 50 included). Tidio's stays at $140.

Where Tidio wins on price: a large team with low volume. Ten agents handling 250 conversations a month is $59 on Tidio Growth and $190 in SupportWire seats. If that is you, Tidio is cheaper.

SupportWire counts a resolution when the customer confirms it (a rating of 4 or more, a "this helped" click, or an agent marking it resolved), or when Kal gave a real answer and the customer stays quiet for 24 hours. Handoffs to a human are never charged. We explain the meter in Paddle sells a bill, not a meter.

Is Tidio worth the price?#

For a small Shopify or WooCommerce store that wants a friendly chat widget and is happy to stay under 10 seats and 2,000 conversations, yes. The free plan is real, setup is quick, and you never pay per agent.

It gets expensive and unpredictable when chat volume swings with sales, when you lean on Lyro heavily, or when you outgrow the self-serve ceilings and land on Plus. At that point you are paying three meters and a platform fee.

Annual billing lowers that to $32.50, $116.67 and $583.33 a month. Above 1,000 you contact sales. Yes. The Free plan includes 50 billable conversations, a one-time allowance of 50 Lyro AI conversations and 100 Flows visitors, with up to 10 seats. Paid plans have a 7-day free trial with no credit card, after which the account drops back to Free.

A conversation that includes a message from a human agent. Visitor messages your team never answers do not count, and replies from Lyro or Flows are not agent replies. A conversation counts once no matter how many messages are in it.

Per conversation on self-serve plans. A Lyro conversation counts as soon as Lyro replies once, whether or not it solves the problem. Only the quote-only Premium plan lists pay-per-resolution billing. SupportWire charges $0.49 only when the AI resolves the ticket, with the first 50 each month included and handoffs never charged.

For most small teams, yes. Tidio does not charge per seat on self-serve plans (up to 10 seats), while Intercom charges per seat plus $0.99 per Fin outcome. Model Intercom with the Intercom pricing calculator and compare it with the Tidio figures here.
