What is Parahelp, and what are the alternatives?
A YC-backed AI support agent that embeds into Intercom, Zendesk, and Front. Pricing is demo-gated and aimed at funded startups. SupportWire is the self-serve, transparent-priced alternative.

Parahelp is a Y Combinator-backed AI customer support agent that plugs into existing helpdesks rather than replacing them. It layers onto tools like Intercom, Zendesk, and Front, reading a team’s past tickets and knowledge to draft or send replies inside the helpdesk a team already runs.
Parahelp positions itself toward funded, fast-scaling startups. Its pricing is not published: prospective customers go through a demo and a sales conversation to get a quote, so there is no public per-resolution or per-seat number to compare. We do not list a Parahelp price because the company does not disclose one.
SupportWire differs on the points that matter most to a smaller or self-serve team. It is a standalone AI-native support platform with its own inbox and AI agent, so it does not require an existing Intercom or Zendesk seat underneath it. Pricing is transparent and self-serve: SupportWire charges per seat plus $0.49 per AI resolution, half of Intercom Fin’s $0.99 per resolution, with a free plan and no sales call.
For a funded startup already standardized on Intercom or Zendesk and comfortable with a sales-led process, Parahelp is a reasonable fit. For a small business or team that wants to see the price, start free, and replace the helpdesk rather than bolt onto it, SupportWire is the more direct alternative.
