## What the SupportWire MCP server is

The SupportWire MCP server is a remote Model Context Protocol endpoint that lets AI clients run your customer support inbox directly. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or VS Code and they work the same live chat queue you already run in SupportWire.

- **Endpoint:** `https://mcp.supportwire.ai/mcp`
- **Auth:** browser OAuth, no API keys to copy. You act as yourself (actor=self) and pick the organization on sign-in.
- **24 tools** across conversations, messages, customers, team members, and organization settings.

## Setup in three steps

1. **Add the endpoint.** One Claude Code command, or a short JSON config for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and ChatGPT.
2. **Sign in and pick your org.** Browser OAuth opens, you choose the organization and approve scopes.
3. **Use the tools.** List conversations, reply in-thread, assign teammates, update customers, and adjust settings from inside the AI client.

## What you can do

- **Inbox and conversations:** list, get, create, update, filter, assign, and unassign. Full live chat MCP control over the queue.
- **Messages and replies:** draft and send replies without leaving Claude or ChatGPT.
- **Customers:** look up and update records so triage has context before you reply.
- **Team and settings:** manage team members and adjust organization settings.
